What I Offer

A student resting in child's pose on a yoga mat

Yoga

Traditional Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin. Hatha focuses on alignment and mindful movement, supporting better posture, body awareness and ease of movement. Vinyasa builds strength, coordination and focus through flowing sequences linked to the breath. Yin uses longer-held postures to gently work with deeper connective tissues and fascia, while developing patience and the ability to stay present with physical sensations.

Breathwork

Connected breathwork is a guided inner journey. Through a continuous breathing pattern, you explore deeper layers of body and mind at your own pace. I also teach pranayama, the yogic art of breath control. It helps calm the mind, steady the breath and prepare for meditation. Every session begins with a short health check to discuss your needs and whether the practice is suitable for you.

Thai massage

Done on a mat, fully clothed, using traditional stretches and rhythmic pressure. Relaxation Thai massage focuses on relaxation, releasing everyday tension and helping you unwind. Therapeutic Thai massage combines traditional techniques with Chinese acupressure points, focusing on areas of tension or stiffness around the neck, shoulders, head and back. Each session is tailored to your individual needs.

About Rob

I'm a yoga teacher, breathwork coach and Thai massage therapist, born and raised in the Netherlands. I spent most of my earlier career in a corporate environment before choosing a different direction in 2020.

I started practising yoga more than ten years ago, and along the way I found my direction in traditional yoga. I trained in Rishikesh, India, and later deepened it to a 500h RYT. Since then I work and travel through the year, mostly in Asia, teaching yoga and guiding breathwork sessions. As a certified Thai massage therapist, I give my students extra support during yoga and breathwork when needed. You can also book me for a relaxation massage, or when you experience specific areas of physical tension or stiffness.

My approach is simple. Listen to your body and move with it. We all have physical and mental limits, and most of us would rather ignore them. I help you recognise yours and respect them.

Questions

Anyone who wants to feel more at ease in their body, develop their breathing or learn to switch off. You don't need to be flexible or experienced. I teach beginners and long-term practitioners, and adapt each session to the person in front of me.

We start with a short conversation about what you want and anything I should know about your body. Then we work step by step, and you can pause or change anything at any time. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water.

It depends on the condition and the type of session. I don't diagnose or treat medical conditions, but I can sometimes adapt a session to your needs. Please let me know beforehand about anything that may affect your participation. If you're unsure whether a session is suitable, check with your healthcare professional first.

Gentle pranayama practices are generally accessible, but not every breathing technique is suitable for everyone. Connected breathwork can be more intensive and may not be suitable for people with certain medical or mental health conditions. These may include cardiovascular or blood pressure conditions, epilepsy or a history of seizures or stroke, glaucoma or other serious eye conditions, osteoporosis, asthma, and certain psychiatric conditions. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and the use of blood thinners may also require extra consideration. Please check with your healthcare professional beforehand if any of these apply, and let me know before booking. This list is not exhaustive.

Thai massage is done on a mat. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We agree on pressure beforehand, and you can ask me to adjust it at any time. Certain health conditions may mean that a massage needs to be adapted, postponed or avoided. These include fever or infection, inflammation, skin conditions, recent fractures or surgery, cancer, hernia, osteoporosis, varicose veins, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart or circulatory conditions, bleeding disorders and the use of blood thinners. Pregnancy may also require specific precautions. If you have a medical condition, take medication or are unsure whether massage is suitable, please let me know before booking. I may recommend checking with your healthcare professional first.

Everyone. All bodies, identities and orientations are welcome, and LGBTQ+ people are very welcome. There is no judgement and you don't need to explain yourself. My sessions are professional and non-sexual, in every country I work in. If anything feels uncomfortable, say so and we adjust or stop.

Message me on WhatsApp or by email with what you're looking for and where you are. I'll share the available options and pricing based on the type of session and location before confirming your booking. Payment details are shared when your booking is confirmed. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session, and no-shows, may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed session price.
